Logline: A Medical Dummy with a consciousness develops a crush on a medical student, but becomes jealous once he gets a girlfriend.
The idea for Adelina came to the director, Jack McMillan, one day when he was on another student-run set, which just happened to be filming in a medical institution. He saw a medical dummie and started to imagen what it must have seen through the years and what it had experienced. When he got home, he started writing the first draft of Adelina.
This is a story of unrequited love from the perspective of a medical dummy, unable to talk or move, only think. She is forced to endure the monotonous routines of everyone she encounters while always being treated like an object. To her, there is hardly a difference between each day. Until Tony, a Medical student making some extra money by cleaning up classrooms at the end of each day. He is the first person to handle her with care and make her feel more than just an object. That is until he gets a girlfriend and starts bringing her to work every day. Now, Adelina must withstand seeing their relationship blossom and starts to have twisted fantasies.
I am incredibly honored to have been chosen to help bring this film to life and to have worked with a fantastic cast and crew.

One of our biggest obstacles was finding a location before filming. Jack and I had considered using a room in a medical school because it sounded logical, and Jack had been on a set before in one. So we knew it was possible. Though Savannah is now popular with filming and COVID, gaining access to a medical school came at too much cost for a small-budget student film. We went around searching for other possible locations that we could use. After struggling for a while, we found the perfect place! It had no windows, was semi-small, giving it a cramped feel, and had this fantastic texture of bricks-painted white walls. Getting the location took a while, with the contact not communicating and finding others to get the ball rolling for permission for filming. With an unexpected high charge before the shoot, we had the best location we could have ever asked f
